SONOFF comprehensive heat monitoring solutions

 A heat alarm is great to respond high temperature. So it can be widely used to detect fires in areas like kitchens, warehouse, garages, restaurants, etc. Also, people who works for a particular industry need heat monitor to prevent dangerous high temperature for protecting their business, such as cellars & attics, drugs and vaccines, greenhouse vegetables, and so on.

Here, I’ll show you some simple and affordable heat monitoring solutions. Sonoff heat sensor is used in conjunction with different Sonoff WiFi smart switches and electronic devices like an alarm to fit any situation – let you get real-time heat alerts and insights.

Solution One: Sonoff heat sensors for the home

In this heat monitoring solution, Sonoff heat sensor can alert you high temperature in real time with an alarm. So it’s suitable when you want heat monitor for areas without remote like home.

Materials:
Sonoff TH
Sonoff Heat Sensor-AM2301
An alarm
An power plug
An android or iOS phone

Wiring diagram:

Steps:
1. Wire a plug. Respectively connect the live, neutral or earth wire of the power plug to the correct screw terminals of Sonoff TH.
2.Connect this alarm to Sonoff TH. Respectively connect the live, neutral wire of the alarm to the correct screw terminals of Sonoff TH.
3.Plug Sonoff Heat Sensor-AM2301 into Sonoff TH.
4. Download the E-WeLink APP from Google Play or APP Store on your phone.
5. Launch E-WeLink and register a new account, then log in.
6. Click the “Add device” button in this APP, and then press and hold the “Set” button of Sonoff TH for a few seconds. Next, follow the wizard to finish the rest steps.
7. After the device is added, click the device to set a temperature point. 
8. Install this heat monitoring solution at home.
When the heat in your target area is higher than the temperature point, the alarm will turn on automatically with a ring alerting you.

Solution Two: Sonoff remote heat monitor

If you want to remotely monitor heat in areas like cellars, garages, greenhouse etc, I recommend this heat monitoring solution.

Materials:
Sonoff TH
Sonoff Sensor-AM2301
Sonoff Basic-WiFi Wireless Smart Switch
An alarm
Two power plugs
An android phone

Wiring diagram:

Steps:
1.Respectively connect the live, neutral or earth wire of one power plug to the correct screw terminals of Sonoff TH. 
2.In the same way, connect another power plug to Sonoff Basic, and also connect this alarm to Sonoff Basic. 
3. Plug Sonoff Heat Sensor-AM2301 into Sonoff TH.
4. Search E-WeLink APP on Google Play or APP Store, then download and install it on your phone.
5. Open E-WeLink and register a new account, then log in.
6. Click the “Add device” button in this APP, and then press and hold the “Set” button of Sonoff TH for a few seconds. Next, follow the wizard to add it. 
7. Use the same way to add Sonoff Basic.
8. After the two devices are added, click the drop-down list on the top right corner of this APP, select the “Scene”>”Smart Scene” option. Next, click the first “+” button to set a temperature point, and then click the second “+” button to make the heat sensor associated with this alarm.
9. Install Sonoff TH and Sonoff Heat Sensor in areas where you want to remotely monitor the temperature, while install Sonoff Basic and alarm where you usually stay.
Even if you’re outside so that the heat alarm fails to alert you, you can also monitor heat in your target area on your phone.

Solution Three: Sonoff heat controlled electronic devices

Sometimes, people want a particular device like electric fan to start working automatically when the temperature is higher or lower than a certain point.

Materials:
SONOFF TH
SONOFF Sensor-AM2301
Your electronic device (Here, I take a fan for example)
An power plug
An android or iOS phone

Wiring diagram:

Steps:
The steps are the same as that of Solution One. You just replace the alarm with a fan. 
When the high temperature sensor detects the surrounding temperature is higher than the temperature point, your electronic device will launch automatically.
